At the place where I work as a part-time waitress to keep finically stable, I was asked to help restore the Pub/Restaurants Sculpture of a Horse and Groom that is over 20 Years old. It had got unloved, moldy, filled with insects, cracked, chipped and the rest; so I washed, sanded, filled and re-painted it to make it good as new!

The experience was a good learning curve, enjoyable and would love to do something there again.

As a part of my BA Hons Course I had to complete a variety Roles however instead of doing a show role in my last term I decided to do my own project to try and incooperate everything I learnt. I used a variety of materials including Polystyrene, Wood, Plasterzote, Dragon Skin, Novocs, Latex and Elastics. I created a Puppet able for the Puppeteer to move his neck/head, the ablity to breathe and snort haze/smoke.

I have always enjoyed working Backstage and I am calm under pressure and have quick Problem solving skills. I enjoyed managing of these two Shows as I feel comfortable and calm in the backstage environment with the ablity to reassure others and collaborate with other departments.

​As a part of my FdA Course I had to complete Two Weeks of Work Placements in my 3rd Year. I completed Two Weeks with War Horse working in Rehearsals for the Recast, maintaining the Puppets and making sure they were at the right place at the right time along with changing the harnesses in Joey and Topthorn depending on which acting group were next to use them per scene. I greatly enjoyed this Placement and it inspired me to look more into Puppetry.
